Top Reasons Why Guys Can't Get A Date

There are lots of reasons why guys can't get a date. It usually boils down a few things that can be changed. But before I reveal what those things are you'll want to stop and think about the guys that you admire, you know, the guys you see with the pretty girls, the guys that can get the dates with the women that you can't. The guys that have the confidence to walk up to women, ask for their phone numbers, email addresses and get dates.

You're on your computer, so, open a new text document and take a moment to create a list of all the qualities you admire in the guys that get the dates you don't. It might look something like this:

good looking

well dressed

physically fit

confident

fun to be around,

and probably plenty more things that you can think about.

Now make a list of the things that you don't like about yourself, it'll probably be different from the things I'll list, but here are some suggestions that may be going through your mind:

out of style clothes

bad teeth

wear glasses

overweight or out of shape

afraid of women

shy

not funny

Of course, this list could go on and on since you know what you don't like about yourself better than what you do like about yourself. And we're not going to create that list. Whatever you like about yourself is probably a few of the reasons why you can't get a date.

Now that you've taken some time to think about yourself, let's move on to changing what we can change. You'll be surprised that once you identify the things that you can change how easy it is to set up a plan of action and begin making the changes that will help you get dates.

The first four items on my list above (out of style clothes, bad teeth, wearing glasses, overweight or out of shape) can be changed once they are identified. They can also be great motivators, once identified, to make changes that will build your confidence around women as you change them. Clothes shopping, even if you are only window shopping, is a great way to talk to the girls that work in the men's clothing stores. Getting your teeth fixed starts with some basic dental hygiene and moving on to regular dental visits. Don't be afraid of the dentist, if you shop around you'll find a dentist that cares about your comfort and will be understanding about your financial status as well. I have yet to meet a dentist that is unwilling to set up a payment plan if you don't have dental insurance. All you have to do is ask. It's the same with opticians. If you wear glasses, you can easily switch to comfortable contacts if you feel your glasses are a detriment to you getting dates. Sometimes all you need is a new set of frames, so again, shop around, ask the sales girls what they like and get it done.

Keep in mind that nothing gets done in a day. But if you plan to make changes and follow that plan, you will be successful in more than just dating.

Being overweight or out of physical shape is a sign of our times. Changes in diet and exercise are a fact of life in these trying times of fast food and faster lifestyles. This is a one day at a time category. Start with short walks that get a little longer on a weekly basis. Visit your doctor for suggestions on what you should do and how you should do it. Not everyone can afford to join a gym or have a personal trainer. If these options are available to you great. If not, plan a physical exercise schedule for yourself from books, newspaper articles, and, of course, by what you can find online. Tinternet has a wealth of fitness websites for you to get the helpful information and support you may need.

Being afraid of women, being shy, not having funny things to say to women are common ailments. But they are not brick walls that separate the men from the boys. Building up your confidence, in any situation, will naturally flow into all aspects of your life. Once you find things to say to women, you'll find ways to say them. You'll be able to create an atmosphere of comfort friendliness with everyone that surrounds you. This is also a one day at a time exercise.

You cannot learn to be confident in one day.

But you can learn how to handle situations differently, with confidence and humor, that will flow into meeting new friends, being better dressed and confident.
